Membership

Clubs, competitors, coaches and judges register with the Federation through the FBBFK Administrative Office. This page summarises the main steps.

Who can become a member

FBBFK’s members are bodybuilding and fitness clubs registered as non-governmental organisations in the Republic of Kosovo. A club becomes a full member when it meets the conditions of the Statute and the Registration Regulations, and is considered officially registered once the Federation’s Assembly has approved it.

Registering a new club

Clubs that have never been members, or that have been inactive for the last 24 months, submit:

  1. an application for membership;
  2. a copy of the club’s statute;
  3. the club’s certificate of registration as an organisation;
  4. proof of payment of the registration fee.

Annual club registration

Every club must renew its registration each year, between 1 January and 28 February. Clubs submit:

  • proof of payment of the annual membership fee and of competitor registration;
  • a list of competitors and members (at least 5 members who take part in at least three official competitions a year);
  • the form on the club’s management structure (by 28 February).

A club must notify the Federation in writing immediately of any change in its management, coaches or competitors. A club’s membership ends when the club deregisters itself, is expelled by decision of the Assembly, or ceases to exist.

Registering competitors

  • A competitor’s first registration is made by the club, at any time of the year. School pupils may be registered as competitors from the age of 12.
  • For a competitor who is a minor, the signature of a parent or legal guardian is required. From the age of 18, competitors decide on sports contracts themselves.
  • The competitor declares that they accept FBBFK’s Statute and regulations.

The first application must be accompanied by:

  1. proof of citizenship;
  2. two photographs of the competitor;
  3. the club registration booklet, completed and certified by the club;
  4. proof of payment of the registration fee.

Renewal of registration for the previous year’s competitors takes place only between 1 January and 28 February. If registration is not renewed for a year, the competitor becomes “free” and may register with any club.

The competitor’s booklet

Every registered competitor receives a competitor’s booklet, issued and validated only by the Federation. It contains the competitor’s photograph, identification details, club and medical check, no more than 12 months old. Without these details the booklet is not valid.

Changing clubs (transfers)

  • Competitors choose for themselves which club they compete for.
  • There are two transfer windows each year: winter (1–31 January) and summer (1–15 September).
  • A competitor without a contract requests a release form from their club in writing, no later than 15 days before the transfer window. The club must reply within 8 days; if it does not, the transfer is allowed.
  • As a rule, no compensation is paid for a transfer, unless agreed by contract or between the clubs.
  • The Federation recognises only contracts between a club and a competitor that have been certified by a lawyer or notary.
  • For team competitions, a competitor may also hold a dual registration with another club, renewed each year.

If the club does not issue the release form, the competitor may complain to the Executive Board, which decides within 30 days.

Coaches and judges

Coaches and judges register under the regulations of the Federation’s relevant commissions.
