Regulations on the work of the Supervisory Council

The Supervisory Council is the body that oversees the work of FBBFK on behalf of the Assembly. These regulations set out how it is elected, how it works and to whom it reports. They were adopted by the Federation’s Assembly and signed on 1 March 2023.

The Council is elected by the Assembly and works in accordance with the Statute. To preserve its independence, its members may not hold any other position in the Federation.

What it contains

  • The Council as a body elected by the Assembly, acting under the Statute.
  • Composition: five members, elected by the Assembly.
  • A four-year term of office, with the possibility of re-election.
  • Incompatibility: members may not be members of the Board, chairs or members of commissions, or selectors or coaches of the national team.
  • Election of the chair by the members themselves, at the first meeting.
  • Meetings: called and chaired by the chair; the Secretary General attends as an adviser, without the right to vote.
  • The scope of oversight is comprehensive: the Federation’s office must give the Council any document and information it requests.
  • Reporting to the Assembly, including reading out the oversight report when the Council considers it necessary.
  • Decisions by majority vote; in the event of a tie, the chair decides.
  • Abstention by a member who has a personal or economic interest in a matter.

For clubs and athletes
